This award can be used towards down payment and closing costs for buyers who meet Area Median Income (AMI) requirements and who apply for a 30-year Fixed mortgage home loan only. The program is run by the Neighborhood Housing Services of Phoenix.

Home loan assistance for Phoenix home buyers
Enroll in the required 8 hour homebuyer education course by contacting NHS Phoenix. You must also present a signed purchase agreement and loan pre-approval at this time.
To get your loan pre-approval, visit with a mortgage loan officer to talk about your Phoenix home loan. They will help determine your down payment assistance income eligibility, property location requirements, and other requirements to qualify for the Neighborhood LIFT funding.

Search for your new dream home in the City of Phoenix.
Sign the purchase contract, bring it to your loan officer, and sign a consent form that allows your information to be shared with NHS Phoenix.
When you accept a purchase contract and are pre-approved by a certified mortgage lender, you will review your down payment assistance with a NHS pre-purchase counselor.
Your mortgage lender sends your completed home loan package to NHS Phoenix, who will process secondary financing.
